Course Objectives (2 CE Credits)

BruxZir® Solid Zirconia, a full-contour zirconia crown or bridge with no porcelain overlay, is made from zirconium oxide powder. Its chemical composition makes BruxZir nearly bulletproof. In this material science overview, Glidewell Laboratories Senior Director of Research & Development Robin Carden discusses the unique properties that make partially stabilized zirconia ideal for dental restorations:

High flexural strength
High fracture toughness, or K1C value
Great resistance to thermal shock
Color and translucency
